| Tank: c/o Oasap Kimono: c/o August Wrinkle Jeans: (thrifted) Pacsun Wedges: c/o My Hot Shoes Bag: Rue 21 Ring: c/o Oasap |
This cool new tank from Oasap arrived just when our weather decided to take a turn for the windy side. So, being a wimp when it comes to the cold, I set up my tripod inside and started experimenting with new locations in the house. Sorry if some appear grainy because of this! Indoor lighting just doesn't compare to the quality you get outside. However, I still like how the majority of these turned out. I mixed some leopard print with the skull motif for a rock-and-roll vibe, but with some pops of mint, it made the overall look softer. Perfect for going out with some friends!
These new mint wedges were dying to be matched with my crossbody bag from Rue 21. When I bought this tiny satchel on clearance last year, I had no idea one of the spring trends would be small bags! What a lucky coincidence. Staying on trend by accident. ;)
Oh right, and these wedges...man, I've got a lot of shoes. But this type of sandal is actually the first of its kind to appear in my closet. I may or may not have started searching for similar types to add to my collection now...
So these snippets between CG and I have been fun to share (your comments on them make my day, they really do). However, I'm starting to question whether this boy is even into me. I know this might seem jarring, but I've actually been wondering this for a while now. He confuses me like no other! He seems completely interested and somewhat-flirty when we're in class or walking together afterwards. I mean, he usually likes to sit with me in the student lounge area after Photography class and talk (a lot of the conversations I've shared happen here) before walking me over to my Pilates. However, outside of that, he doesn't make any effort to reach out to me. Nothing via text or Facebook. Remember how he asked for my number that one day? He'd mentioned how he wanted to take me out sometime.
Yeah, guess what still hasn't happened?
I've got to stop hanging my hopes on this boy, because he is not stepping up to the plate! I don't want to seem impatient, but really? Its been over a month of this weird, flirty limbo and I'd rather know for sure what his intentions are. If I'm just an option on his list of college girls, I'd rather he cross me off and move on to someone else.
For now, I'm going to be a friendly classmate, because that seems to be all he wants. I suppose I'm just disappointed after all the flirty buildup he gave me.
Have any of you been in this type of situation? Any advise?
The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.
Proverbs 16:9

aww sorry for the confusion from him :( hope it all works out! your kimono is so spring-y :)
Mili from call me, Maeby
If you're ok with him backing off, I'd prescribe a DTR. Just ask him how he feels about you. He might be going slow if you've been giving him a cautious vibe, ya know? Or you may be right: he's just not looking for anything remotely serious. But openly communicating is the best way to make sure you both are on the same page. :) Best of luck, girlie!
Also, your minty wedges are adorable! They look like they're begging for a summer trip to the beach!

Ok I love this look. The mint accents are so fresh! Makes me yearn for spring's official start.
And about CG -- I totally get you. It's irritating when you think there's something on the guy's end...but he suddenly becomes really confusing. I made the mistake of not thinking it through and falling for it all, once upon a time...so I'm glad to see you're considering the possibilities! I do agree with SaraM and say that maybe you two should try defining the relationship...that way both of you know for sure what's going on.

Lovely outfit!

Love the striped nails! They're very cool!!
Come by soon!

These shoes are so cute! See, this is the kind of wedge I need. Something with a tiny bit on height, but still really easy to walk in. These pictures are really gorgeous too.
And I'm sorry if the boy doesn't like :( He's crazy if he doesn't. Hopefully you at least find out for sure soon so he isn't stringing you along!
I love this outfit! It's so cute and the shirt is so edgy!

The way CG acts around you, though, Linda, makes it seem like he's into you! He might be one of those guys who just doesn't want to text you out of the fear that you don't like him back... that happens, I think! I bet if you sent him a text asking if he'd like to do something, he'd eagerly reply. It wouldn't hurt to try! Apparently, my brother says that guys like it when girls make the first move. My brother is smart!! Haha. But I wish you luck, and I'm sure something will happen soon that will let you know.
Ah, Linda, your jewelry... your jewelry is always so COOL. And I love gold. Those earrings are just awesome! Are they little claws on triangles? Too cool.
I like your shoes!

"All the Rules" by Fein & Schneider. Read it, it was the only way I could get a guy like that to pay any attention *cough cough my husband*
It seriously changed my life
Lovely outfit. I love your leopard cardigan and your jewels are beautiful :)
Oh dear, and men say we're confusing. :P I've had this happen a few times and it really seems to vary from guy to guy. Someone else mentioned this, but he might be cautious if you're giving off a "take it slow or super shy" vibe, he could be really nervous. Or he could really just enjoy hanging out with you as a class buddy. (Some guys just really like to flirt.) This is the hard option but if you really are interested in him, then you should take the incentive and flat out ask him to hang out outside of class. (I know, I know, it's nerve-wracking but you can do it! Do decided before hand if you really are interested though. I had a guy flirt with me like crazy in class, I sort of liked him and asked him out and then I realized I wasn't that into him. It was not a good situation for either of us.) It really will depend on what you ant and if you just enjoy the flirting, there's nothing wrong with that. :) Whatever you decided, I hope you end up happy dear.
And now a book later, I have to mention that you're outfit is adorable! I'm always so shy about open-ish backed shirts but you look so cute in yours and I really like the spring time vibe. (Oh, I so want it to be summer!)
That bag is so lovely. It adds the perfect pop of color to your outfit! xx

Indoor pictures are much more difficult than outdoor ones. These look great though! That natural light coming in really makes the pictures great! I love your mint shoulder bag, structured bags are my favorite. I wouldn't worry about your guy :) I hope he's not leading you on, but sometimes friendship is best until a person figures things out a bit. You're a treasure who deserves to be pursued, so don't forget that!
Love your outfit and your bag.Would u like follow each other? Let me know. XOXOXO
I'd say just be casual and friendly... I've encountered guys like that. I'd say maybe test it out and ask if he wants to grab lunch or food right after class and see where that takes you? Or ask him for HIS number for "school purposes" and text him about that class and see where the text convo takes you? OR if you haven't already added him on Facebook or something, you can do that too? Just to test out the waters!
Cute leopard shawl and wedges are awesome!

Those shoes are soo cute and they do go so well with your bag! I love how you rolled up your jeans a bit, gives your outfit that laid-back kind of vibe :) and these photos indoors are great, I tried taking mine indoors before and it didn't really work out but you make it work! :)
It's really been a month?! CG should really hurry it up then. Hmmmm or he maybe he is just meant to be a friend. Since you had said in your other post that you two have so many interesting topic conversations, he seems like he would be a good person to just hang out with :) But then again, i've never been in this type of situation, but whatever happens, the most important thing is that you are happy!
Beautiful photo~ I love the close ups and you look amazing :) the outfit is great and brings me in such a spring/summer mood!! very cute sandals and I like how you wear your jeans~ the kimono is so great!!!

Fabulous look on you
love your kimono and bracelets.
Love the floatiness of your leopard kimono, I would something similar. The mint green wedges are very pretty. CG sounds just as confusing as any other guy I know...you never know what they are thinking. I think follow your intuition, you're the only one who knows how he acts around you (whether flirty or guarded), he seems to be keeping his cards all to himself. Have you responded to his flirting too? Maybe he thinks you're not interested in anything serious? Geez, guys are so complex!!
great bag

Such a lovely casual outfit! :) I like the mint touches with the shoes and bag :)
I am afraid I have no good advice for you - but looks like you've been receiving plenty from other readers :) I guess you should take some time to think about what you want so you can be sure you are happy - if he doesn't want to make a move that's fine, his loss, but do you really want him to make a move or are you still healing?
More a question than any advice, told you I had nothing good, haha!

I don't know what to tell you Linda. I was thinking about you the other day and it dawned on me too that he hasn't officially asked you out, has he? dang.
He seems to be just shy; the type of guy that wants the girl to ask out first or the type of guy that wants to be a friend first, which ain't bad. But yes I would be frustrated at this point, too.
I see it as you either need to be patient with him more (like another month) or cut your losses if you find him too frustrating and move on.
Best to you sweetie! All the Best!!!
LOOOVE the minty wedges and pretty satchel! Your indoor pictures turn out SO much better than mine! Hope you had a great weekend!

lOVE LOVE that bright bag! I always try to find bright colours for my purses!
:)
there is a possibility that he just isn't "man enough" to tell you what he really thinks. I remember some guys like that from my past. they joke around and will do it pretty much forever because they're afraid of commitment and you know, serious stuff. since I've met so many different types of guys I can tell you that you should keep your eyes opened ;)
anyway, I also wanted to say I love your accessories here, jewellery and of course those mint wedges and cute little bag. I bet those shoes are comfortable too.

Wahhhh men! Maybe you should bite the bullet and ask him out- that's what I did with Chris and wete together still 3 years later.
Amazing look I love the mix or rock and roll (beautiful leaped jacket) and the sift mint. Great prediction with the small bag- last year I bought some dungerees and now they seem to bein? Can I count that as fortune telling too?

Mint is such a great color!

The first thing I noticed about your outfit Linda were the shoes. They are so cute. I love the two tone color (mint & brown) and ankle strap. Ankle straps are in, so you will definitely find a plethora of them this summer. Great looking tank and your inside shots are awesome. They look so cool.
My advice is pull back the reigns a little, be subtle about it, be nice, but don't be too available. Never put all of your eggs in one basket. If he's not asking you out, be open to other guys. Make plans with your girlfriends. Do projects. Stay BUSY! But WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T ASK HIM OUT! DON'T SUGGEST ANYTHING! He should be the one to initiate going out (when a guy initiates asking to go out, it means he WANTS to go out...if not, he doesn't). If not, you'll seem desperate. Show him you have a life, busy schedule and he'll have to step to the plate if interested. If not, it's his loss, but you wouldn't have loss anything either. HAHAHA He doesn't know you have a blog does he?

I think I will be always in love with leopard print so you can quess how much I love this outfit!! Awesome shoes as well!

These pictures are so beautiful Linda! And inspiring as well. Oh man I think he might be waiting for the right moment and also I was thinking that u guys hang out pretty often so maybe if you avoid him a little bit just to see what happens or you can just casually ask him out and at the end the date u can ask him if he tough this was a date... Or u can just go for some DTR if you really wanna date him : ) but don't worry u ate gorgeous and the sea is full of fish : )
What a gorgeous look and i love your nails! :) xx

Those wedges are cute and so perfect for spring! I really love that kimono too. :) And as for the boy, I say move on. If he's not waiting around for you, why should a hot young thang such as yourself wait around for him?? :) Plenty of fish in the sea girl! <3

Your house is so pretty and cozy, Linda! And you did a great job mixing all the rock chic things with softer tosca colored stuffs, so YOU :)
